Bisquick Gluten Free review and giveaway

As some of you know, my daughter suffers from lupus. We have been trying to cut down on her gluten intake to help with her flares. So when Bisquick offered me  to let me  review Bisquick Gluten Free baking mix I jumped at the chance.

I was sent this package.

It contained The Bisquick Gluten Free mix, a griddle with silver dollar sized pancake molds, a handy squeeze bottle to pour the mix into that allows you to write if you want to and a pancake sized spatula.
Sunday night I decided to make breakfast for dinner, one of my families favorite meals. My daughter and I had decided before hand not to tell my husband that the mix was gluten free to get his honest reaction.

I followed the directions on the box for the pancake batter, It may be a little thicker then  your use to and I worried about that too, but as you'll soon learn It didn't matter. I heated the pan (after cleaning it and seasoning it) sprayed it with oil and started making silver dollar pancakes. I must admit the pan is a bit awkward to use and when my husband came into the kitchen he said he hoped I was making HIM bigger pancakes, So after my initial silver dollar pancakes, I switched to my own griddle and made MAN size pancakes. (if only my MAN SIZED man would do dishes). I kept them warm in my warmer as I prepared the rest of the meal.
On first bite I was amazed how light they were. I have used the regular Bisquick mix for pancakes before and always found them a bit heavy, but these were light and tasty and I really like them. My daughter loved them too. Now for the big test, my husband, the ultimate pancake lover. My daughter and I watched intently as he downed them as fast as he could get them Then after he was finished we sprung the news that they were gluten free and he said he could not tell the difference and that he thought they were delicious. One thing we all noticed after eating, is that they didn't leave you with that bloated feeling.

My entire family gives this product a big thumbs up!

Now for the good news. How would you like to win everything that was sent to me? All you have to do is comment on what your favorite breakfast food is. Make sure you leave your email  in your comment so I can reach you if you win. U.S. and Canada only please, I will choose the winner using random.org. This contest will close on Oct 27th at 10 pm. Good luck everyone!

Coffee tables

There has been a coffee table war with my husband and I for many years, I've needed a new one since the day we got married. My husband you see is a great carpenter, but he has managed to put off building one for 27 years, so I finally been looking on the net pricing them and I found this beautiful one at the CSN stores.
I never thought of having a footstool and coffee table combo before, but I really like the idea of it. Much more muti functional for my meduim size living room.

In honor of this great find CSN has kindly offered to give one of my readers a $100 gift certificate  to their many stores &  sorry U.S. and Canada only.

So here are the rules
